This project is dedicated to more than 200,000 rural agricultural households in the state of Karnataka, India. This region has a rural population of over 36 million and is renowned for its cultural heritage, wildlife, and agricultural products. The main goal of this project is to achieve three important outcomes:
CLEAN Environment: The project aims to contribute to a cleaner environment by promoting sustainable and eco-friendly practices.
DRUDGERY Reduction: The project seeks to reduce the physical and mental effort (drudgery) involved in everyday tasks, especially for women.
ECONOMIC Opportunities: By participating in this project, women in the area can benefit from increased economic opportunities.
The project involves making clean and affordable cooking energy services accessible to people in different states of India. This is done by introducing improved and energy-efficient cook stoves that are designed to be more environmentally friendly and efficient in comparison to traditional stoves. This initiative not only has environmental benefits but also aims to improve the quality of life and economic prospects for the local population, particularly women.
